New Granite Bridge Saws & Polishers Increase Granite Countertop Production

(PRLEAP.COM) Johnson Machine Shop, Inc. has launched a new web site featuring a new series of granite bridge saws with hydraulic tilting work tables that significantly increases granite countertop and granite monument production.

Granite Bridge Saws

The new JM6 series Bridge Saws from Johnson Machine Shop is primarily used for granite countertop fabrication and granite monument production. The unique feature of this granite bridge saw is the hydraulic tilting work table that can be tilted to 90 degrees to load and remove granite slabs, making it easier for a single operator to handle large slabs while increasing production. Users also report less breakage because the long slender slabs do not have to be lifted off the table in the flat position, which puts stress on the sawed pieces. The sawed pieces of granite countertop material can be turned on edge while fully supported. Granite Countertop Polishers

Radial Arm Granite Polishing Machines are also available from Johnson Machine Shop. These US made granite countertop polishers and marble polishing machines are designed to work with granite polishing wheels up to 18” in diameter, and can be easily operated with one hand by a single operator. The machine has electrical and hydraulic lifting and press systems that let the machine do the hard work for the operator. These granite polishing machines are intended for grinding and polishing granite countertop slabs, granite or marble monuments, or other stone polishing operations. The polisher has totally enclosed Timken and pillow block bearings for long life and ease of use. Main drive motors are 2.5-5 hp. The polishing head has a vertical lift capability of 4 feet and is powered by a 3/4 hp motor.

Core Drilling Machines

The JMS1 Diamond Core Drill from Johnson Machine Shop, Inc. is a heavy duty electric core drilling machine used primarily for granite core drilling, but can be used for any core drill operation. The JMS1 core drill automatically drills cores up to 12” in diameter and 48” deep with a single setting. The JMS1 is a rotary diamond core drilling machine intended for stationary facility use where extra large concrete, granite or other stone drilling operations that require higher production rates than standard duty or portable core drilling machines can handle. The JMS1 is easy to operate and maintain, and can be used for granite monument fabrication or any other heavy duty drilling operation. The JMS1 features rugged steel construction, a 15 H.P. motor, and electronic controls. It uses heavy duty diamond core drill barrels or standard diamond core drill bits up to 12” wide and 48” long.
